UCC/UCUSAF ICT & Multimedia Training

The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), through the Uganda Communications Universal Service Access Fund (UCUSAF), has through a competitive call and evaluation process signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Billbrain Technologies Ltd and Partners to establish a collaboration in the implementation of key activities under a general thematic area of skilling youths in multimedia production to enhance innovation and creativity in local content and create jobs in the creative industries in response to the wide spread youth unemployment. Therefore, UCUSAF III programme set aside resources to be utilized under a collaborative grant framework between UCC/UCUSAF and Billbrain Technologies Ltd and Partners to implement the project.

Heifer International – ADAP ICT Skills Training​

ACCELERATE DAIRY PRODUCTION AND PRODUCTIVITY PROJECT (ADAP) – TRAINING OF PO MANAGEMENT TEAMS IN ICT SKILLS

Implemented on behalf of Heifer International Uganda with support from aBi Developments Ltd, implementing a three years (2020-2022) dairy value chain project called “The Accelerate Dairy Production and Productivity (ADAP)” with the aim of supporting quality data management for Participating Organisations’ businesses and digitalizing milk records at PO through enhancement of the practical ICT skills for Participating Organisations’ personnel.

ADAP aims to increase dairy productivity, access to services, and markets for 3,500 smallholder dairy farmers in seven (7) Central Uganda Districts and milk shed. The project specific objectives are, (1) double Average Milk Productivity per cow per day from 5 to 10 litres; (2) established Private-led extension delivery mechanism; (3) improve financial services access; (4) strengthen institutional capacity and business management for 25 Producer Organizations and (5) increase Processor Capacity Utilization by 42%.

EAYIP – Information Access & Sharing

TRAINING OF CLUSTER COORDINATORS, HUB STAFF AND HUB BOARD MEMBERS THE USE OF ICT TO ACCESS AND SHARE INFORMATION

Heifer International Project Uganda in implementing a 5-year Program known as the East Africa Youth Inclusion Program (EAYIP). The program is in the 4th year of implementation aiming at empowering 15,000 youth to improve their livelihoods through creating employment opportunities for youth, business development and job creation along agriculture value chains. To fulfil this goal, the following strategic objectives and illustrative actions have been designed, integrated with gender and private sector engagement as cross-cutting themes.

Tullow Oil Uganda – Project KUHA

In partnership with Tullow Oil Uganda, through the Tullow Group Alumni Association (TGSS), we have conducted a one (1) month training for 63 primary school teachers in digital skills for teaching and learning, under the train the trainer model (June – July 2019) to enable pass on the skills acquired to their respective primary school pupils.  The activity was carried out in 4 schools of Buliisa primary School(Buliisa District),  Kaiso primary school (Hoima District), Kyehoro primary school (Hoima District), and Ndandamirie primary school (Buliisa District) within Uganda’s Albertine Graben.

The project also donated solar powered computer labs to the beneficiary schools which we have gone ahead to technically support for the project’s sustainability.

MoICT – NIISP – Agro Value-Chain Digitisation

With grant support from the Ministry of ICT & National Guidance – National ICT Initiatives Support Programme (NIISP), Billbrain Institute of Technology has developed a Digital Agro Value Chain Management (Agro-VCM) Mobile Application that enables easy interaction between agricultural value chain sector players i.e. Farmers, Agro-Input Suppliers, Agricultural financiers, Collection Centers and Agricultural Produce Consumers/processors to interact together, thereby facilitating easy marketing and trade amongst themselves by facilitating the way different stakeholders interact and access information about the agro-trade cycle.
The project is funded by the Uganda Ministry of ICT and National Guidance under it’s National ICT Innovations Support Programme (NIISP), and coordinated by the the Resilient Africa Network.

CURAD – SWISSCONTACT – Youth Farmers Digital Marketing Skills Training

October 2019: In partnership with CURAD Agribusiness Incubator Uganda, and Swisscontact, we have trained over 200 youth farmers pooled from across the different parts of Uganda in Digital marketing and eCommerce solutions for us in their agribusiness products and services sector.
